Every great business starts with a passion, and for Sam, that passion is cheese. As an ex-cheese maker and lifelong fromage lover, Sam has spent years perfecting the art of pairing exceptional cheeses with the perfect accompaniments.
Trained in All Things Dairy
Sam's journey started in college where he studied food science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His studies brought him overseas to Angers, France to study industrial cheesemaking for three years before moving back to the USA to supervise production for Lactalis American Group in Wisconsin.
From Cheese Maker to Board Creator
After leaving Lactalis he followed his passion to Ann Arbor, Michigan and pursued artisanal cheese making at Zingerman's Creamery. Hands-on experience taught the nuances of flavor, texture, and quality that can only come from working directly with the craft. This deep understanding of cheese became the foundation for something bigger—a vision to help others discover and enjoy extraordinary tasting experiences.
